I am not political in any way, but the ideology I see in all the parties that occupy what is traditionally called "the right" in the country is one that is not Canadian. It seems to consist of a mean social determinism and a set of values that are so antithetical to those that characterized the country I grew up in. We are a peaceful country, mindful of our neighbours, supportive of each other and now I find we are governed by a heavy handed, manipulative and increasingly hostile government that is taking this country down a road I doubt most people want to take.

L'HERMOINE
The L'Hermoine sailed for the first time this month to begin sea trials prior to crossing the Atlantic and visiting a number of ports recreating its voyage in 1780 to bring Lafayette to assist Washington during the American Revolution. Beautiful replica from the Age of Sail!!

Countdown to Haul Out
So we are scheduled to haul Terratima on March 28th at 9 AM. She comes out of the water to have the following done:
- Bottom antifouling paint
- Replacements of 4 zincs: 2 for the bow thruster, one on the propellor shaft and one on the stainless steel keel-to-rudder connection.
- Repaint the bootstrap with 2 part Interlux Perfection
- Install a new thru-hull intake for a future water maker.
We will photograph all of this and post it as it happens.
