We headed out from our slip to Point Roberts. Dull day really...just a lot of traffic and not much to look at...
One of numerous container ships
One of numerous car carriers
(at least the container ship looks like a ship)
One of numerous BC Ferry boats
The coal loading conveyors near the ferry terminal
The ugly car carrier again
Canadian Navy Frigate
It really looks like a ship ought to.
Then on we went to Roche Harbour:
Yet again more ships
And sailboats...
And stunning scenery...
Lovely...
Awesome skies..
Roche Harbour
Dressing up for the 4th celebrations
Roche Harbour
Alas..more motor boats than sailboats by far
Roche Harbour under grey skies
A little environmental art..
Then on to Rosario on Orcas Island and from there back to Canada checking in at Sidney.
A ferry plying the San Juan Islands
Gorgeous scenery everywhere...
The Admiral and our boat dog
Then it was on to Victoria on a beautiful but virtually windless day...
Leaving Port Sidney Marina...Mount Baker in Washington State
in the background
The Olympic Range in the background as we head south
The ferry from Friday Harbour in Sidney
Another view of the Olympic Mountains as we head south
In Baynes Channel, the Olympic Mountains in the Background
Trial Islands Light
More to come....
