Vancouver to Shelter Island

So with the departure from Coal Harbour, we return to our home slip at Shelter Island Marina.

We held the 2nd Annual Terratima Open House in Victoria earlier in the trip and now it was our Vancouver office's turn.  Just a taste of the event (no need for commentary).

Seattle to Friday Harbor

It made for a long day, but we set out early for Friday Harbor:

The weather had not changed much

Overcast, but we did have a bit of wind

We overnighted at Port Townsend Boat Haven.  We managed to arrive around 6:30 PM and by that time the dog was beside himself needing to walk.  

We left the following morning for Seattle in cloudy conditions:

Victoria to Port Townsend

There are no pictures of this leg of the journey.  We left Victoria and by Ogden Point, there was thick fog.  We turned on the radar and the AIS is always on, so we could see numerous hits in front of us.  They turned out to be all manner of runabout all fishing off Ogden Point.


We took up a heading to Port Angeles to clear customs.  About half way across, the COHO passed us about a 100 meters off Starboard but we could see nothing.  We could certainly hear her and the fog signal she set off every minute under way.


All the way into Port angeles Harbour, nothing but fog and we could not see the Civic Dock until we were practically on top of it.  Thanks to MIT for inventing radar.

Second Annual Terratima Open House

Last year when we arrived in Victoria, we had some guests over that were affiliated with my office and our work.  We decided to do so again this year and have a second open house.  So here is the setting:
