Another Week

I spent a portion of the week in Edmonton working on a couple of projects.  This week I'll be in Vancouver the entire week and then back to Edmonton the week after.  Such is project based work, and I do need to pay the bills.

Ice

Just got back from Edmonton where temperatures dipped to -36 not counting the wind chill.  The marine has a sprinkling of snow, but the real news is ICE.  floating ice from upriver where temperatures are much lower floating by and striking the boat on its way.  

Costa Concordia

The grounding of the cruise ship Costa Concordia is captured here on the AIS live data as seen on MarineTraffic.com.  the course shows an abrupt change in heading very near to the coast of Giglio.
