So we're planning the addition of an arch on our boat. The arch will be there not for radar (which is mast mounted), but for solar panels and wind generator. It can also be a dinghy storage location for coastal sailing. Off Shore, we would tie down the dinghy on the fantail and not leave it in the davits. Here is an example on an IP38. Our dinghy is much smaller (9').

Another Week
I spent a portion of the week in Edmonton working on a couple of projects. This week I'll be in Vancouver the entire week and then back to Edmonton the week after. Such is project based work, and I do need to pay the bills.

Ice
Just got back from Edmonton where temperatures dipped to -36 not counting the wind chill. The marine has a sprinkling of snow, but the real news is ICE. floating ice from upriver where temperatures are much lower floating by and striking the boat on its way.
